Question: May I add more logs to my vented gas log set?

Answer: Perhaps. Here are the issues:
1) Our sets were tested and listed with the number and sizes of logs we specify. Adding additional logs alters our design and may result in outcomes for which we have not tested, and are therefore not covered by our warranty.

2) Adding logs might choke off the flow of the flame, resulting in excessively heavy sooting. It might also reflect heat downward and/or trap heat below, which might adversely affect and possibly damage the components of the safety/lighting control system, a condition not covered by our warranty.

3) Logs may be added to the perimeter of the stack, or around the base of the log set, in a manner that does not influence the flame or trap heat.
