Q: I have a Pan Burner and the flame seems to be in the back and right hand only. How can I get the flame evenly distributed?

A: A couple of actions for you to take:

1) Ensure that the sand completely engulfs the burner pipe and underneath the baffle plate (CS and CXF Burners) and fills the pan.
2) Loosen up the sand in the pan with a knife or stiff wire, like a coat hangar. Gas takes the path of least resistance, so a concentration of flame on the right side suggests a packing of the sand on the left side. Loosen up the sand throughout the pan so that the gas can flow freely.
