Under no circumstance do we recommend the removal of the ceramic tiles from the burner.  If the burner ports are clogged, burner is cracked, burner insulation is missing, burner is popping, etc., you may need to replace the entire burner.  (Grill Model Number can be found on the underside of the pull-out drip tray)
