90 pounds of FireGlitter, or 110 pounds of FireDrops, will approximately fill 1 cubic foot.

To determine the minimum amount of glass required, compute using the following formulas by filling in the blanks (measure target area in inches):

FireGlitter (glass):

For Rectangular uses (average front and rear widths for tapered fireplaces):

____ Width  times  ____ Depth  times ____Thickness  divided by  19.2  = ____Pounds of Glass required

          Example:  24" Width, 12" Depth, 2" Thickness         24  X  12  X  2 ÷ 19.2 = 30 Pounds of Glass

For Circular uses (FirePits, flowerpots, etc.):

____ Diameter  times ____Diameter  times  ____Thickness  divided by  24.4 = ____Pounds of Glass req.

                                      Example:  24" Diameter, 2" Thickness         24  X  24  X  2 ÷ 24.4 = 47 Pounds of Glass

FireDrops:

For Rectangular uses (average front and rear widths for tapered fireplaces):

____ Width  times  ____ Depth  times ____Thickness  divided by  16.0  = ____Pounds of FireDrops req.

          Example:  24" Width, 12" Depth, 2" Thickness         24  X  12  X  2 ÷ 16.0 = 36 Pounds of FireDrops

For Circular uses (FirePits, flowerpots, etc.):

____ Diameter  times ____Diameter  times  ____Thickness  divided by  20.2 = ____Pounds of Drops req.

                                      Example:  24" Diameter, 2" Thickness         24  X  24  X  2 ÷ 20.2 = 57 Pounds of FireDrops
